Heavy Fighting Rocks Mogadishu

An insurgent attack on the Parliament building Thursday night in the Somali capital of Mogadishu led to a heavy artillery exchange, Deutsche Presse-Agentur reports.
At least 15 people were killed, including three government soldiers, when the insurgent Al-Shabaab group shelled the building as legislators met.
The government troops and African Union peacekeepers responded, killing a number of civilians. Forty-seven were wounded, said medical personnel.
