President Viktor Yanukovych has dismissed the head of the Ukrainian navy, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).
Adm. Viktor Maximov was relieved of his duties for health reasons, according to a presidential decree. He retains "the right to wear [the] military uniform," the decree said on Wednesday.
Maximov has served as the navy chief since March 2010.
