Haqqani Network Leader Killed In Khost

Afghan and coalition forces have killed a Haqqani network leader in Afghanistan's Khost province in a security operation, reports NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).

Mirwais Sabri was among those targeted in a coalition airstrike in Sabari district that killed two insurgents, said ISAF officials.

The insurgent leader survived the airstrike and engaged a joint Afghan-coalition force and was killed, said officials.
