Hanoi Blasts Beijing's Military Live-Fire Exercises In Paracels

The Vietnamese government has issued a protest over China's live-fire drills in the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea, reports VN Express (Hanoi).

"Vietnam strongly opposes this action and demands that China respect Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa archipelago and cease and refrain from repeating acts" that threaten peace and stability in the East Sea (aka South China Sea) and the region, a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on Tuesday.
