A miniature unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) launched from the Gaza Strip has crashed inside Israel, reports Agence France-Presse.
The UAV was spotted entering Israeli airspace on Thursday. Debris from the drone was later found in Israel near the border fence, said an army spokesman.
Israeli fighter planes were scrambled to intercept the drone, reported Ynet News. Authorities said the drone was under surveillance throughout its entire 40-minute flight.
