A Chinese hacker says he has 23 terabytes of records from the Shanghai police, reports Reuters.
The hacker, known as “ChinaDan,” said he had stolen the records from the Shanghai National Police database and was offering to sell it for 10 bitcoin (about US$200,000).
The database included the “name, address, birthplace, national ID number, mobile number, all crime/case details” on around 1 billion Chinese citizens.
