HAAWC Torpedo Kits Achieve Operational Milestone

Boeing’s wing kit for lightweight torpedoes has reached initial operational capability, reports the defense firm.
The High-Altitude Anti-Submarine Warfare Weapon Capability (HAAWC) has satisfied the Navy’s requirements for initial operational capability, Boeing said in a Tuesday release.
The milestone follows a $121 million full-rate production award for the system in August, squadron training and delivery of low-rate production systems, noted the War Zone website.
