Clashes between government forces and Shi'ite gunmen have forced hundreds of people to flee a town in eastern Saudi Arabia, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).
Local authorities have been trying to demolish the old quarter of Awamiya in Qatif governorate since May, charging that it was being used as a hideout by Shi'ite militants, reported the BBC.
