An Israeli police officer was killed and two others wounded in an ambush Monday morning in the West Bank, Al Jazeera (Qatar) reports.
Palestinian militants opened fire on the police vehicle near the city of Hebron, Israeli officials said. One officer died of his wounds en route to a hospital.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Fatah political party, claimed responsibility for the attack.
