At least 60 people have been killed in armed attacks on several villages in Nigeria’s northwestern Sokoto state, reports the Daily Trust (Abuja).
On Wednesday evening, several hundred bandits on motorcycles attacked the villages of Garki, Dan Aduwa, Kuzari, Katuma and Masawa in the Sabon Birni local government area, officials said
The bandits killed at least 63 people, according to locals. Other residents said 74 people were killed, reported the Nigerian Tribune (Ibadan).
