Gulfstream AWACS Declared Fully Operational

The Singapore air force has reached full operational capability for its G550 airborne early warning aircraft, reports the Singapore Ministry of Defense.

A ceremony on Monday was attended by Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen.

The first G550 was delivered in February 2009. The last of the four aircraft arrived in October 2011. The G550 replaces Singapore's E-2C Hawkeye aircraft.
