National Guard personnel have been briefed on the threat of improvised explosive device (IED) attacks in the runup to next week's presidential inauguration, reports Politico (Washington, D.C.).
Law enforcement personnel have determined that the IEDs placed at the headquarters of the Democratic and Republican National Committees last week were not an isolated incident, according to two Guardsmen who received the briefing.
Those responsible for the bombs have not been identified.
