The border guard service in Russia plans to field a new wing-in-ground effect vehicle in the near future, reports Interfax-AVN.
The Orion 12 vehicle is in the final stages of operational testing with the border guards, said officials with the Industrial and Financial Investment Group, which built the aircraft.
The Orion 12s have already been built, with one undergoing testing with the border guards.
