Two people have been killed in local election violence in the Philippines.
A grenade explosion in the Philippine province of Maguindanao killed two and injured 12 on Wednesday, GMA News (Philippines) reports.
The blast in the town of Datu Odin Sinsuat targeted a meeting of local candidates and their supporters, said police.
The apparent targets were two brothers and former policemen who are running for mayor and vice-mayor in a neighboring town, reported the New York Times....
