Government Will Try Qaddafi Son

The government of Libya has decided not to extradite Saif al-Islam Qaddafi, son of slain dictator Muammar Qaddafi, to the International Criminal Court (ICC), UPI reports.
The son will be tried in Libya on charges of rape, murder and corruption, said a government spokesman.
A verdict is expected before elections in mid-June, the spokesman said.
The Netherlands-based ICC wants to try the most prominent son of the former leader on charges of crimes against humanity.
