Syria requested hundreds of workers and military personnel from North Korea last year in violation of U.N. sanctions, reports NK News.
In the second half of 2019, Damascus sought at least 800 North Korean workers, according to an unpublished U.N. report seen by the website.
In August 2019, North Korean technicians performed work at a Syrian SA-3 air defense battery, the report says.
Then, in October 2019, a Syrian company requested 800 North Korean workers for construction projects....
