Government Shoots For 4 Percent Military Spending Boost

The South Korean government has requested a US$32 billion military budget for 2016, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).

The proposed increase, up 4 percent from this year, includes US$2.5 billion to enhance South Korea's defenses along the demilitarized zone with the North, according to the budget plan that was approved on Tuesday.
