Government Sets 2025 Goal For Eliminating Leftover Land Mines

Cambodia says that it will train 2,000 troops in demining in an effort to eliminate all remaining land mines in the country by 2025, reports the Voice of America News.

Phnom Penh originally planned to eliminate the millions of land mines and unexploded ordnance left over from decades of civil war by 2010. This was revised to 2020 due to a low-level border conflict with Thailand at the time.
