The government of Turkmenistan has launched an initiative to register army reservists as tensions increase on the Afghan border, reports Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
Conscription commissions have been instructed to register all males younger than 50 years old and assess whether they are capable of taking part in military operations, an unnamed government source told the news site on Monday.
