Government Seeks To Exercise Contract Option For Additional S-400 Air Defense Systems

Turkey is in talks with Russia to exercise a contract option for additional S-400 air defense systems, reports Reuters.
On Friday, Dmitry Shugaev, the head of Russia’s Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, said that officials from both countries were discussing a contract for the long-range air defense system, reported the Interfax news agency (Moscow).
Shugaev indicated that he expected a deal to be finalized in 2020.
