Government Orders Erieye Radar System From Saab

The United Arab Emirates has signed a contract with Swedish defense firm Saab to expand and enhance its airborne surveillance systems.
The US$1.27 billion deal covers the new Swing Role Surveillance System (SRSS) utilizing the latest version of the Erieye radar system, according to a Saab release on Monday.
The new system for the U.A.E. features the Bombardier Global 6000 business jet carrying the radar.
