The Afghan government says it has arrested 11 officials for their alleged participation in the illegal narcotics trade, Reuters reports.
The Afghan Criminal Justice Task Force (CJTF) announced Monday that it had arrested 155 people in the previous three months, including the government officials.
Among those detained was a police general in charge of several northwest provinces bordering Turkmenistan and Iran, said the force spokesman.
