Dispelling rumors that its fighter competition would be canceled, the Swiss government insists it will continue with the effort to replace part of its F-5 Tiger fleet, Agence France-Presse reports.
There have been reports that Defense Minister Ueli Maurer, who only took office this year, was considering scrapping the program. However, at a recent meeting, the Swiss Cabinet decided not to abandon the project.
