The Colombian government and the FARC guerrilla group have announced a new peace deal after a previous agreement was rejected by voters, reports the New York Times.
A slim majority of voters rejected a peace deal with the FARC in October, with many maintaining it was too lenient on the rebels, who have been fighting for five decades in a conflict that has cost more than 220,000 lives, noted the Miami Herald.
