The Indian government is seeking to build a series of roads along the Chinese border as part of efforts to improve troop mobility, reports the Hindustan Times.
The latest annual report published by the Central Public Works Dept. (CPWD) calls for the construction of 44 “strategically important roads” in the northern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
