Government Denies Allegations That It Is Using Syrian Mercenaries

The Azerbaijani government has denied accusations by Armenian officials that it is using Syrian mercenaries in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region, according to Russian media reports cited by the Syrian Observer.

On Tuesday, Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vardan Toganyan told Interfax and RIA Novosti that Turkey had provided up to 4,000 Syrian mercenaries to Azerbaijan.
