Government Bans DWR Islamist Group, Raids Premises In 60 Cities

German police have mad nationwide dawn raids of an Islamist group accused of recruiting for terrorist activities, reported the Washington Post.

On Tuesday morning, police searched more than 190 mosques, apartments and offices in 60 cities connected to the True Religion (DWR), also known as Read! (as in its instruction to read the Quran).

Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said DWR, while masquerading as a legitimate religious organization, was also a recruiting operation...
