Government In Baghdad Promises To Help Tripoli Dispose Of Chemical Weapons

The Iraqi government has agreed to help Libya dispose of the chemical weapons stockpiled by the ousted Qaddafi regime, reports Agence France-Presse.
After a request from Tripoli, the Iraqi Cabinet agreed "to provide necessary technical assistance to the Libyan authorities to dispose of their chemical stockpiles, according to the procedures followed by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)," said an Iraqi government spokesman on Thursday.
