Government Approves Legislation For Participation In International Operations

The Estonian government has approved bills passed by the Parliament that authorize the deployment of troops to the U.S.-led Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq and extends participation in the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in 2017, reports the Baltic News Service.

The legislation extends the participation of up to 10 Estonian personnel with the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq until Dec. 31, 2017, said a government spokesman on Thursday.
