Global Strike Command Reaches Full Capability

Officials declared last week that the Air Force's new Global Strike Command has achieved full operational capability at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., reports the Air Force News Service.
The milestone was reached less than 14 months after initial operational capability was declared.
This is the first completely new major command that the Air Force has activated in nearly 30 years.
