Gibraltar Blasts Spanish Intrusion Into Its Waters; Madrid Denies That Was 'Intrusion'

A Spanish patrol vessel has been charged with trespassing in Gibraltar's waters on Tuesday, reported the Daily Telegraph (U.K.).

The government of U.K.-controlled Gibraltar said the Spanish ship entered its territory without permission, reports Deutsche Welle.

HMS Scimitar told Spain's Infanta Cristina to leave, noted the Telegraph.

This was the seventh intrusion this year by a Spanish navy ship, said Gibraltar's government.
