German Phantoms Now Police Baltic Airspace

The German air force has taken over the NATO's rotating air policing mission over the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, reports the Deutsche Presse-Agentur.
Six German F-4F Phantom fighters replaced four U.S. Air Force F-15C Eagle fighters on Wednesday for a four-month rotation.
The aircraft operate from the Siauliai airfield in northern Lithuania.
The German rotation is scheduled to end on April 28.
