Negotiations in Geneva to end the Syrian civil war have collapsed without progress, reports the Guardian (U.K.).
Syrian government negotiators said on Thursday that they would not engage in direct talks with the opposition due to the latter's insistence on certain preconditions, reported the state run SANA news agency.
