General Nabbed While Carrying Heroin, Say Police

Police in Afghanistan have arrested an army general who is accused of smuggling drugs, reports Reuters.
Brig. Gen. Abdul Sama, the head of the army recruitment center in northern Balkh province, was arrested, said a defense official on Wednesday.
The general was said to have been stopped with a bodyguard and driver while traveling in a military vehicle carrying almost 20 kg (44 lb) of heroin.
