General Atomics Nabs Another NAVSEA Contract For Railgun Research

General Atomics, San Diego, Calif., has received a Naval Sea Systems Command contract for additional railgun research and development work, reports the Dept. of Defense.

The $36.5 million deal covers research and development of integrated power system power load modules for electromagnetic railgun pulse power containers and for the manufacture and testing of prototypes, said the Pentagon release issued Sunday.
