GAO Hits Defense Logistics Agency For Inefficiency

A government audit says that the Defense Logistics Agency buys more supplies than necessary, reports ABC News.

The agency has purchased billions of dollars of equipment that is not currently needed by the military, according to a report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

The agency has about $13 billion in inventory, with about $7 billion of the consisting of unneeded spare parts, says the GAO.
