Frigates To Fire Missiles At Simulated Enemies During Baltic Drills

Two Russian frigates plan missile firings this week at ranges in the Baltic Sea, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).

The Steregushchiy-class frigates Stoiky and Soobrazitelny will simulate surface and marine combat during the exercises on Nov. 9, according to a Defense Ministry release.

The warships will launch Uran anti-ship missiles at simulated enemy vessels. The Redut air defense system will also practice defending the ships from air attacks, said the release.
