Frigate's Final Deployment Aimed At Drug-Traffickers

The USS Curts guided-missile frigate is making her final deployment from San Diego.
The Curts is scheduled to depart on Friday, reports the Navy NewsStand.
The warship will conduct a six-month independent mission in the 4th Fleet Area of Responsibility. The Curts will primarily be engaged in counter drug-trafficking missions, according to a Navy release.
The frigate is slated to be decommissioned in 2013 after nearly 30 years of service.
