The Dept. of Defense is setting up two new units devoted to the war in Afghanistan, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The units being established are the Afghan Hands program, to be run from the Pentagon, and a new intelligence center within U.S. Central Command, defense officials said.
The efforts are aimed at providing a better understanding of Afghanistan's complex political and tribal dynamics.
