Heavy fighting has again erupted in Syria's Mediterranean province of Latakia, according to a British-based opposition group cited by Reuters.
A rebel leader was killed Wednesday in Selma and six civilians in Haffeh, a mostly Sunni area, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
More than 35 people were reported killed on Tuesday. Government forces were said to have suffered heavy casualties.
