French nationals were among a group of seven kidnapped Thursday morning in the town of Arlit in northern Niger, Reuters reports.
Two of those abducted work for the French nuclear company Areva, while the others are employed by the subcontracting construction company Sogea-Satom, said a company spokeswoman.
Arlit is located near Areva's uranium mining operations.
The French Foreign Ministry said it was investigating.
