Russian officials say they expect that Moscow will sign an agreement with France for the purchase of a Mistral-class amphibious warship by the end of this year, RIA Novosti reports.
Moscow has been negotiating with Paris to buy at least one vessel for upwards of US$675 million and build three more of the same class.
France reportedly hopes to sell two ships and have Russia build the other two.
