French Defense Minister Offers Upgrades To Lebanese Military

France has indicated a willingness to provide the Lebanese military with weapons after receiving assurances that Lebanon can maintain stability, the Daily Star (Lebanon) reports.
French Defense Minister Herve Morin met in Beirut with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, President Michel Sleiman and Defense Minister Elias Murr, as well as with officials from the French contingent of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
