French Defense Minister Herve Morin says his government is ready to negotiate with the terrorist group that is holding seven hostages in the Sahara desert, Bloomberg News reports.
The hostages were kidnapped Sept. 16 in Niger. Five of the hostages are French, one is Togolese and one is Madagascan.
French officials believe the hostages may have been moved to Mali near the Alegerian border, reported Agence France-Presse.
