Four New Bases To Strengthen Maritime Security In East

President Joko Widodo says the military will set up four new bases in eastern Indonesia to enhance maritime readiness and coordination, reports Indonesia's BeritaSatu television channel.
The new installations will be built in Biak, northern Papua province; Merauke, southern Papua province; Morotai, North Maluku province; and Saumlaki, Maluku province, Widodo said on Saturday at a ceremony marking the military's 74th anniversary.
