Fort Riley-Based Unit To Head To Kuwait Later This Year

The U.S. Dept. of the Army has announced a rotational deployment of an infantry brigade to Kuwait.

The 2nd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan., will head to Kuwait with about 4,000 personnel in late fall. The unit will replace troops from Fort Riley already based in the region, according to a Pentagon release on Thursday.

Troops from 3rd BCT, 4th ID, have been in Kuwait since February, noted the Army Times.
