Former U.S. Oiler Joins Chilean Navy

The Chilean navy commissioned a onetime U.S. Navy oiler into service on Wednesday in Mobile, Ala., reports Fox 10 News in Mobile.
The former Andrew J. Higgins has been renamed the Almirante Montt in Chilean service. The vessel was refurbished by Atlantic Marine in Mobile before being turned over to the Chilean navy.
The Almirante Montt is scheduled to sail for Chile in mid-March.
