Authorities in South Korea have arrested the former head over charges that he took bribes from a shipbuilding company seven years ago, reports the Yonhap news agency.
Retired Adm. Jung Ok-geun, who headed the navy from 2008 to 2010, was detained Thursday. His son was arrested the day before on similar charges.
