South Korean President Moon Jae In has nominated his former national security adviser, Chung Eui Yong, as foreign minister, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
Chung would replace Kang Kyung Wha, the president’s office said in a press release on Monday.
Chung served as director of the Office of National Security, a role similar to that of the U.S. national security adviser, from May 2017 to July 2020.
