The Nepalese Cabinet has invited former Maoist rebels to join the nation's army, reports UPI.
Sunday's offer includes setting aside three high-ranking officer berths for one-time Maoist leaders, said officials.
An integration plan former after the end of Nepal's civil war six years ago called for about 45 percent of Nepal's army to be made up of former rebels.
Four years ago, the army took control of the last of the Maoists' weapons.
